Job description

Provide survey support to the Operations Department and carry out tasks in coordination with concerned departments for all survey or inspection activities while ensuring that all regulatory and class processes are conducted to meet the client requirements.

  • Carry out inspection or certification of materials and components as per standards and codes based on his qualification.
  • Carry out inspection and certification of the new building projects as per standards and codes based on his qualification.
  • Carry out 3rd Party inspection.
  • Perform Audit services as per international codes and national standards.
  • Perform Audit services for the service suppliers.
  • Support Military Projects Department for carrying out the surveys of military vessels.

Survey Operations

  • Perform all surveys or inspections of vessels to provide IMO (International Maritime Organization) certification, flag administration and class certification for vessels and fleets.
  • Perform all surveys or inspections for marine equipment, materials or components to provide IMO (International Maritime Organization) certification, flag administration and class certification.
  • Assist in project management of vessel projects to ensure that projects are delivered within the agreed scope and budget.
  • Assist in the process of issuing, maintenance and invalidation of ship’s full class certificates or statutory certificates by the agreements with various flag administrations to enable clients to be compliant with national regulations.
  • Assist in publishing the register book on an annual basis with detailed required information of all vessels under the class certification to be compliant with IMO regulations

Education:

  • Diploma in Engineering or any related discipline

Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant functional experience

Skills:

  • Basic understanding of various activities in the maritime service delivery
  • Knowledge of IMO regulations
  • Knowledge of Flag Administration regulations
  • Understanding of rules in other classification societies
  • Communication skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Conceptual & analytical skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
