Statutory Certification of Ships
Tasneef is recognized by various flags to act on their behalf to issue necessary statutory certificates as per International Codes and Conventions as well as National Requirements of flag state to ensure safety, security and environmental protection contained in various IMO instruments. The requirements for stability, lifesaving appliances, Pollution Prevention, radio communications, signaling and navigation equipment’s, offshore container service, lifting appliances and Structural fire protection including ISM, ISPS and MLC are covered under statutory codes and conventions.
Tasneef perform Statutory design appraisal, survey and certification on behalf of various flag authority to issue necessary Statutory certificate through professional design engineers, surveyors and auditors.
Tasneef being the National Classification society of UAE was first accorded with statutory certification on their behalf in 2013 and subsequently by Gulf Co-operative council and various flags including Lebanon, Oman, Bahrain, Jordan and Morocco.
Tasneef has been participating in IMO assembly and International Forum to convey its views and has set up technical committee in UAE and various countries with its clients (shipyard and ship owners) and also with marine fraternity (insurers, ship brokers, bankers and marine lawyers, flag administration) for close communication with flag administration.
In addition to the statutory certification as authorized by various flags; Tasneef is leading the role of sole responsible society to issue GCC Code & Yacht Code certification in UAE.
