Classification of Ships

Printer-friendly versionSurvey for Classification services are key contributor for the enhancement of maritime safety and protection of marine environment. Ships must be surveyed with rules and regulations of society as applicable to verify structural strength & stability of hull, cargo installations, fire protection and reliability of machinery and equipment’s. Upon satisfactory completion of survey, the ship survey file is reviewed by the technical committee and if approved a certificate of classification, is issued and the ship is entered into Tasneef’s Register of Ships.

Ship Classification Services:

• Classification during construction (New Building)
• Services during installations of machinery and appliances
• Services for ship and related installations in service for the maintenance of class
• Services for lifting appliances during and after construction.

Tasneef performs drawing approvals and ship surveys inspection as part of its services for registering and maintaining ships in class.
